2023 Deep Sea Chardonnay "Seaturtle,” Santa Barbara County: Our Chardonnay is sourced from an acclaimed Los Alamos Vineyard site, Valley View Vineyard. Original cuttings for this vineyard were brought over from Europe 25 years ago. Stainless steel fermented, and then transferred to a combination of new and neutral oak barrels for 6 months. The barrel breakdown is roughly 70% New, 30% neutral. 100% malo-lactic fermentation.
Smells Like: Crisp green apples, meyer lemon, stone fruit, vanilla.
Tastes Like: Fresh acidity, green apple skin, ripe citrus, pear, and a whisper of vanilla on the finish.
